SEMCO CLEANER

Component 1 - dissolves dirt and old sealant.

Component 2 - neutralizes component 1 & clarifies teak.

The most important step in preparing teak for the Semco sealant is proper cleaning. Any other finish must be removed.

Always check a small area for adverse reactions.

The cleaner can damage paint & aluminum. Wet the paint & aluminum with plenty of water. Once the wood is cleaned and sealed with Semco it is not necessary to clean it thoroughly again for many years.

Prepare the area for cleaning. Move objects that could be damaged by the process away from the cleaning area. Wear gloves and eye protection.
Wet the area with lots of water. Also wet the teak from other areas where the cleaner can run.
Apply component 1 of the cleaner (red) to the area. Work with small areas of 1 square meter at a time. Rub lightly with a soft nylon brush / Scotchbrite in the direction of the grain. Rinse with plenty of water.
Apply component 2 (the green one) to the same work area. Rub lightly with the brush or Scotchbrite.
Rinse the entire work area with plenty of water. Teak should appear clearer and cleaner. The wood will brighten more when it is dry.
Let the teak dry completely before sealing it. Failure to dry sufficiently will result in black spots on the sealed teak.
Apply the Semco sealant to prevent teak wear.

FIRST AID :

In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for 15 minutes. If swallowed, do not cause vomiting, give large amounts of water or milk. Seek medical attention.
